• New improved design, optimized for all display sizes and devices
• Go ahead and share photos, videos and documents with friends - also with PIN protection
• 2 GB free storage
Karlsruhe, November 25th, 2016. GMX has now revamped its "File Storage" Cloud. The operation was entirely restructured and is now optimized for all display sizes. Now users can save, call up and share photos, music and documents even more intuitively on any end device. Every data transfer is securely encrypted with SSL. 2 Gigabyte storage is available free for all users.
PIN protection: secure sharing of pictures with friends
If wanted, entire folders can be shared with any contacts by e-mail: simply mark the relevant folder with a tick, select the option "Share" in the menu and if required use "Share with PIN code" to provide an individual password. This creates a link which can simply be sent, and can only be opened on the receiver's device with the password previously selected. In this way, only authorized persons can view or download the files shared.
Use folders to structure the File Storage
Once the images have been uploaded, they can easily be grouped in individual folders in the GMX File Storage. Here, the gallery view helps you to retain an overview. And users of the mobile GMX apps for smartphone and tablet can swipe photos to copy them from one folder into another, download them or mark them as favourites with an asterisk.
