Thomas Tuchel felt 'pressure' before PSG's semi-final win

Thomas Tuchel "felt pressure" before PSG's Champions League semi-final win over RB Leipzig.

The big-spending French side reached their first ever final in the competition after a comfortable 3-0 victory in Lisbon and their manager admits that he understood the magnitude of the match.

Tuchel said: "I felt pressure today before the match, but the players are used to playing under this pressure, they like this pressure. That is football, it is 3-0 but anything can happen. I never relaxed, but how we defended, that is the most important: that mixture between determination, spirit and quality.

"We do this together, football is for the fans, we can feel it when they are with us. They saw a real team."

PSG will face either Bayern Munich or Lyon in Sunday's (23.08.20) final and Tuchel insists that his team can't be satisfied with simply reaching the showpiece.

The German coach said: "We are here to play the final and win it."

Angel Di Maria scored the second goal for the French champions as they overwhelmed RB Leipzig and the Argentine felt PSG "ate them up from minute one".

Di Maria said: "We ate them up from minute one - it's going to be tough to sleep between now and the final.

"We worked hard all game and we showed we deserve to be here. It doesn't matter who we face: either Bayern or Lyon, we'll give our all."
