The Kansas City Chiefs tight end is getting ready for his 12th campaign in the sport and admits that his career duration has brought some uncomfortable truths.
Speaking on the latest episode of his and his brother Jason Kelce's 'New Heights' podcast, Travis, 34, said: "Man, time flies. I mean, reading 12 seasons, I feel old as f***. But today in practice I felt like I was flying."
However, Jason believes that his brother (and Taylor Swift's beau) is ageing like a fine wine.
The former football player said: "Your mustache makes it look older too. There's something about a mustache that makes you look seasoned. In a good way, though. Like, it makes you look, like, powerful."
Travis recently revealed that he has no intention of retring from the NFL as he is motivated by the prospect of winning three Super Bowls in a row.
He told the 'Rich Eisen Show': "It didn’t cross my mind one bit.
"I think the excitement of the challenge of this year, being able to maybe do it a third time in a row - I think that alone was all I needed. That was an instant thought, so there was really not a chance in hell that I wasn’t coming back this year."
The star has previously been tipped to make the switch to the entertainment business once he brings an end to his gridiron career after hosting an episode of 'Saturday Night Live' last year.
A source told PEOPLE: "He's really enjoyed hosting, and after he retires, he wants to lean into acting and hosting. He had a blast at 'Saturday Night Live'."
