The 23-year-old midfielder has “embraced” her role leading Crystal Palace on the pitch and insisted it shouldn’t make a difference that some of her teammates are older and more experienced.
She told Match magazine: “I embrace it! I think it’s always a weird one with your age.
“I think your age doesn’t necessarily matter. We have some 30 year olds that act about 16.”
The side have been promoted to the Women’s Super League and Aimee and her teammates are ready for the challenge.
She said: “Everyone knows how big of a jump it is from the Championship to the Women’s Super League.
"We’ve got nothing to lose so everyone is going into it less fearless and more excited.”
But Aimee is disappointed she won’t get to play against Georgia Stanway after her old friend left Manchester City for Bayern Munich in 2022.
She said: “We’re from literally round the corner. We used to go football together when we were kids.
"I haven’t seen her for a while. She’s now obviously left and gone to Germany but it would have been good to have played against her.”
