Hendrick was left out of the squad boss Sean Dyche took to Anfield at the weekend - despite being considered fully fit following a thigh problem - and could be among the changes made on Tuesday night.
Ex-Whites defender Taylor may also be involved but striker Chris Wood, another who swapped Leeds for Burnley over the summer, might come out of an XI that will probably include several changes.
Tom Heaton, Nahki Wells and Dean Marney are long-term absentees although the latter is not far away from returning to action after a knee injury.
Dyche made eight changes in the last round against Blackburn and could make a similar number of alterations on Tuesday.
Despite all the changes, Dyche says he does not expect a drop off in the performance level of his team as they seek to build on Saturday's draw at Liverpool.
"I do believe in the group," he told BBC Radio Lancashire. "I think there are very, very fine margins between who's playing and who's not. Currently the team are doing a good job overall and the team that played in the cup did a fantastic job, I thought they were terrific on the night.
"There's a fair chance we make changes. I was questioned about the changes against Blackburn, heavily in some quarters, and yet they gave a very, very good performance. I believe in the players wholeheartedly.
"In my opinion, I'm certainly not resting players, I'm trying to get players on the sharp edge of playing because that's what you need in the Premier League, and it's a big jump if you're not playing some sort of football."
