The Swans skipper was forced to sit out last Saturday's defeat against Arsenal after picking up a groin injury in training, but should return to face the Seagulls at the Liberty Stadium.
The midfielder was close to playing against Arsenal but was left out as a precaution and an extra week of treatment looks to have done the trick.
"The groin's feeling a little bit better," Britton said. "It was frustrating to miss the Arsenal game, but I'm hoping I might be available for Saturday.
"I've been getting some treatment, so it's about seeing how things go. But if everything goes well, I'm hoping to be back training ahead of the Brighton game and available for selection."
