Irish still fighting, says Tommy Bell

Tommy Bell feels London Irish must learn from their mistakes but is confident they can turn things around this season.

The Exiles made a winning start to their campaign in September but have now lost eight straight Aviva Premiership games after Saturday's 17-13 reverse to Wasps.

Irish have taken just eight points and are five adrift of 11th-placed Worcester, who have rallied with back-to-back top-flight wins.

Nick Kennedy's side have not been blown away in their last two games, going down 22-18 to Bath the week before and Bell, who kicked eight points at the weekend, admits that the spirit is good but will be improved if they can sort out their problems.

"Looking around the changing room after this game, there's still lots of positive chat," he told BBC Sport. "It's up to us as a group of players to turn it around.

"If we're not growing and learning from our mistakes, we're not going to move forward.

"Ultimately, we can't just keep having good games, we need those results. But, the performance today (against Wasps) is going to help us get those results."
