Scottish tactician David Moyes is currently in charge of the Hammers but, with his contract running out this summer, it is unclear which managerial path the Hammers will go down.
The former Manchester United boss did successfully steer them away from relegation trouble this season but it is thought the club's hierarchy were not convinced by his performance as a whole.
Reports have now emerged suggesting West Ham are planning an audacious swoop for PSG manager Emery, who has confirmed he will be leaving the Parc des Princes at the end of the campaign.
The 46-year-old Spaniard has plenty of experience, having also managed Lorca Deportiva, Almeria, Valencia, Spartak Moscow and Sevilla, and he has previously been linked with a move to the Premier League.
It would certainly be a real coup if the Hammers were able to acquire the services of Emery although they could face competition from Arsenal, who are also searching for a new manager.
