Asia Pacific travellers starting to plan holidays for post-June

Asia Pacific travellers are starting to plan holidays for post-June.

Despite the current coronavirus health crisis, holidaymakers from Asian countries - including China where the pandemic started - are looking positively on travel and are considering heading abroad in the coming months, as lockdown restrictions ease.

Data analysis by travel marketing company Sojern shows that those in the Asia Pacific region are now showing intents to travel for the rest of the year, starting in June, whilst those in Europe are also looking for their upcoming holidays. This is particularly the case in Austria and the Nordic countries - which includes Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark and Iceland.

However, a study by PhocusWire found that 45 per cent of US residents still have travel booked post June until December 2020, whilst 61 per cent insist they will still feel comfortable to travel to other countries within the next six months if the restrictions are lifted.
