Khabib triumphed when the bitter rivals fought in 2018 and White hopes that the pair will compete in the octagon once more, despite the Russian retiring from UFC last year.
Dana told The Buffalo football podcast: "I would love to see the rematch with him and Khabib. It’s the biggest fight that can be made, and it’s the fight that makes sense."
McGregor is set to return to action later this month as he faces American Dustin Poirier, who he defeated back in 2014.
UFC legend Chuck Liddell recently suggested that Khabib is "worried" about a potential rematch with the Irishman.
He said: "It doesn’t seem like Khabib wants to give him a shot … and that doesn’t make sense unless Khabib is worried about getting beat. Maybe Khabib is worried about Conor getting better and beating him, I don’t know."
Liddell believes that McGregor may have a chance in the possible rematch if he is able to survive the early rounds - having fallen to a fourth-round defeat in the original bout.
He explained: "In the last fight, I think he [McGregor] did what he needed to do to have a shot at beating Khabib.
“The problem was he was tired by the third round and he had nothing left behind his punches.
"He got Khabib a little tired and he had a chance to throw and he just had nothing left to knock him out.
"So, if he can make it through those first two rounds and still have that snap he’s got, he can take a shot at him."
