The Gunners can extend their advantage at the top of the table to three points if they beat London rivals Chelsea on Tuesday (23.04.24) and Arteta wants the fans to transmit positive energy to the players during the final home matches of the campaign.

He said: "I cannot demand [from] them anything else then what they are doing, the only advice is just to transmit to the team that energy, that belief and drive them.

"Drive them when it is more needed and when there are some doubts, or when things are not going our way, because you can turn them around immediately - and energy is a massive factor to achieve that.

"I am sure we are going to have an unbelievable atmosphere again and they are going to help us to win."

Arteta admits that he can understand the nerves of supporters as Arsenal look to win a first title for 20 years and thinks it stems from their "will to win".

He told reporters: "I think that is related to the will to win.

"When you are see that you are not capable and you start to doubt, or the result starts to go the other way, it gets nervy."

Arteta believes that his players are in the right place psychologically as the pressure of title battle cranks up in the final weeks of the season.

Quizzed on his plans for the squad, the Spanish coach said: "What I am going to do is not defined yet.

"There will be a few things. We have excellent professionals as well at the club who are constantly on top of that, much more than me.

"It is not something you can do on the day, to change the outcome of the next three weeks. It is something that you do daily.

"I call it a drizzle. If you go out there you don’t wear an umbrella, but you are constantly getting wet every single day and then, before you know it, you are soaking wet and you are ready, because it is every single day as a habit."
