Harry Kane relieved to end wait for a trophy

Harry Kane says it "feels sweet" to finally win the first trophy of his career.

The England captain's long wait for silverware came to an end at the weekend as Bayern Munich secured the Bundesliga title and expressed his delight at the triumph.

Kane said in a video on Monday (05.05.25): "What a night last night, what a celebration with the players, with the staff. I'm sure everyone's feeling it a little bit this morning, but we're here.

"I feel amazing, it's been a long time coming, obviously a lot of hard work, a lot of dedication, and it just feels sweet to win the title, the first one of my career.

"I appreciate all the support, as always, it never goes unnoticed, and I can't wait to enjoy these next couple of weeks. I can't wait to be at the Allianz Arena on Saturday (10.05.25) and celebrate in front of the fans."

Kane has now set his sights on winning more prizes with Bayern.

He added: "And then, as always, we look forward to the next one, and we go again and try and get number two."

The striker recently suggested that he is "extremely happy" with the Bavarian giants amid speculation that he could return to the Premier League.

The former Tottenham star told ESPN: "I've said throughout my whole career, I'm not someone who likes to think too far ahead. I'm extremely happy here. I think we have a fantastic team, fantastic coaching staff and I just feel like whilst I feel like I'm in the best condition, I wanna play at the highest level possible, and this is as high as it gets.

"So I know a lot can change in football in a short space of time and things can happen, but ultimately my focus is here. I'm not thinking about any other league or any other team. And with football, I like to just go the flow and at the moment the flow is here at Bayern Munich."
