Frank Warren does not want Daniel Dubois and Tyson Fury to fight

Frank Warren "hopes" a thrilling clash between Daniel Dubois and Tyson Fury "doesn't happen".

The 73-year-old boxing promoter "wouldn't like to see" his clients throw punches at each other in the ring, but Warren said he will have to go through with the battle if the pair decides to fight.

Warren's comments come as Fury made his retirement announcement in January after his second defeat to Oleksandr Usyk, but after making a series of comeback U-turns in the past - including teasing in a cryptic social media video last month that people "know what's coming" after his former trainer SugarHill Steward said to Fury in a gym: "You know what time it is," Fury could yet return to the ring.

And Dubois, who will be throwing hard-hitting blows in a thrilling undisputed world title rematch clash with Usyk at London's Wembley Stadium on July 19, told Sky Sports News earlier this month that he thinks Fury will be back and he wants to meet the heavyweight in the ring.

Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz at the FEVO Sport Industry Awards 2025 at Evolution London last Thursday (15.05.25), Warren said: "I hope it doesn't happen because I'm with the both of them, and I wouldn't like to see that. But, they're both professionals, and if they did, they did.

"They're both fighting men. It's what they are; they're fighting men."

Fury has made multiple comebacks after announcing retirements in the past, but Frank hopes that the Gypsy King's latest declaration will be final.

And if Fury did return to the ring, Frank insists it would not be "for money".

Asked if Fury is doing well now that he is out of the boxing spotlight, Frank revealed: "He is. He's settled down. He's got peace of mind. He's been a boxing icon. He's the two-time world champion, he conquered terrible mental health problems, and for him to do that, and be where he's now, I'm delighted for him and his family, and he still talks about it now and then, wants to come back. I hope he doesn't. But if he does..."

Frank added: "He's a fighting man. He doesn't need to do it for money because he's a fighting man."

Asked if Fury will come back, Dubois told Sky Sports News: "I think he's definitely going to come back.

"When I beat Usyk, I can fight him next. Who knows?

"There's so many great heavyweights at the moment. He'll be desperate to get back in the mix."
