Jake Paul ‘could fight Nate Diaz again after Gervonta Davis bout gets cancelled’

Nate Diaz has claimed he will fight Jake Paul again.

The Problem Child, 28, had cancelled his bout with Gervonta Davis, 30, after a civil court case was brought against Tank by his ex-girlfriend, though 40-year-old Diaz - who previously fought and lost to Paul in 2023 - has now claimed he will replace Davis and has “accepted” a rematch with Paul.

The Paul vs Davis exhibition bout was due to take place on November 14 at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida, but The Problem Child’s Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) cancelled the fight after Tank’s ex-girlfriend alleged battery, aggravated battery, false imprisonment, kidnapping, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

As a result of the cancellation, MVP are now looking for a new date and opponent for Paul, with December 12 or 19 reportedly being considered.

Alongside Diaz, MVP had also reached out to Francis Ngannou, 39, Andre Ward, 41, and Ryan Garcia, 27.

Paul wrote on social media: “Nate Diaz is a f******* G.

“It isn’t meant to be, but respect for willing to step up on two weeks' notice.

“So many p***** at the top of this sport with excuses.”

After the civil court case was filed against Davis, Paul hit out at Tank, dubbing him a “walking piece of human garbage”.

He wrote on X: “Gervonta Davis is an actual walking human piece of garbage. Working with him is an absolute nightmare.

“The unprofessionalism, the bizarre requests, the showing up hours late to shoots. To the numerous arrests and related accusations and lawsuits. If you support this man you support the most vile sin a man can commit.

“I’m so sorry to everyone involved. Mostly to the undercard fighters, to my team at MVP and to my team who worked so hard prepping for this fight.

“Sacrificing time with loved ones and kids just for this fool to lose his unintelligent mind again. It’s scary that devilish men like this can rise to the top of culture and sports, including in positions of power.

“I hope you people moving forward look beyond his fake streetwear pieces ‘SWAG’ and search for something deeper to be a fan of.

“As for me it’s on to the next one as always. Anyone. Anytime. Any place.”
