The British fighter has been out of action since losing his heavyweight unification bout against Oleksandr Usyk at Wembley Stadium last July and his manager Sam Jones has confirmed that he is targeting a return to the ring by May - with a bout against WBO world champion Fabio Wardley a possibility.
Jones told iFL TV: "He'll be back out very soon. April, [at the] latest May...
"Fabio Wardley is the champion, so it would be a voluntary defence.
"But outside of AJ, Tyson Fury, Usyk – Dubois is the biggest name for Fabio Wardley to fight, which would therefore generate the most money.
"If Fabio Wardley gets the Usyk fight then all credit to him, he deserves that opportunity.
"But, if he wants to make that fight, we can make it very, very quickly."
Dubois was criticised in the wake of his loss to Usyk last year after it emerged that his father Stanley had organised a party at the family home and Jones has ensured that such a thing will not happen again.
He told talkBOXING: "I promise you it's not about establishing order, it's about the fact that it's not going to happen again.
"They did it before the AJ fight (in 2024), it worked, he looked a million dollars.
"It happened in the Usyk fight and it didn't go to plan, it was the wrong thing to do.
"We just move forward, it's not going to happen.
"There'll be no entourages."
Dubois' promoter Frank Warren previously revealed that he would be fascinated by the prospect of a clash between the former IBF world champion and Wardley.
He told talkSPORT: "I don't know, we are talking at the moment to both sides.
"I love that fight, I think it's a cracking fight between the two of them.
"Two big punchers, that would be exciting."
