The US golfer – who won the Hainan Classic in China earlier this month – admitted it has been a long time since he’s struck the ball directly from the tee into the hole but is hopeful it won’t be too long before he achieves the feat once again.
Asked his last hole-in-one, he told Bunkered magazine: “That’s been a long time actually. I’m due for one.
“I think that was at Adios [Golf Club].
“I was on the 17th hole, 5-iron, back-left pin, about 198 yards or so.”
Jordan can still remember the first time he broke par, though he was almost two decades ago.
He said: “I think the first time I broke par was at my home gold course at Adios Golf Club in Florida. I think I was probably 11 or 12.”
At that point, the 30-year-old sportsman had already been playing golf for around a decade, though his early memories aren’t very clear.
He admitted: “The first time [I played golf] I was probably two years old, so I’m not remembering much at two, but remember little titbits of when I was four, five, six, playing with a plastic club, just being out there with my dad eating a bag of chips in the golf cart.”
