Lucy Bronze doesn't have trophies on display

Lucy Bronze doesn’t have any of her medals or trophies in her house.

The 34-year-old footballer – whose career accolades include five Champions League wins and two Euros victories – is “not that fussed” about personal success and continues to pull on her boots because she loves the game so much.

She told FourFourTwo magazine: “I’m not that fussed about personal milestones.

“I play football because I just absolutely love it.

“I’m well known for being on the pitch and playing with a smile and playing with emotion, because I absolutely love the game.

“I love winning more than I hate losing.

I don’t have any trophies in my house, nor do I have any medals or pictures.

“They’re all in my mum’s house.”

When she isn’t playing or training, the Chelsea striker admitted she doesn’t really relax and relies on her dog for company.

She said: “I don’t relax. I go to the gym.

“I have a little dog – she comes everywhere with me. She’s lived with me in France and Spain. She’s got a little passport.

“She’s like my family because I don’t live with anybody else.

“She’s the one I go home to and spend a lot of time with.

“Wherever I go, she goes.

“When I go for dinner at someone’s house, she comes with me. I spent a lot of downtime with the dog.

“I’m probably not chilling – I’m on three different player boards and in meetings.

“It’s a little bit more corporate but that’s the side of football that I also love and am passionate about.”
