Aaron Lennon heading for exit

Aaron Lennon heading for exit

Everton winger Aaron Lennon is reported to be closing in on a move to Burnley after the two clubs agreed on a fee.

The arrival of Theo Walcott at Goodison Park has pushed Lennon down the pecking order and the former Tottenham star is keen to move on in search of regular first-team football, and a switch to Turf Moor looks to be on the cards.

Lennon would get the first-team action he needs at Burnley and is said to be keen on the switch, while Everton will not stand in his way if the player can hammer out terms with Sean Dyche's men.

A nominal transfer fee has already be agreed according to reports, and now the player just has to agree personal terms with Burnley before undergoing a medical and rubberstamping the deal.

Dyche is looking to wrap up a couple of late deals before the transfer window closes next week, and hopes that Lennon will be the first arrival through the door.
