United reignite Luke Shaw interest

Newcastle United are reportedly ready to move back in for Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw.

Shaw, who joined the Red Devils in 2014 from Southampton, looks like he will be leaving Old Trafford at the end of the season after receiving yet more criticism from manager Jose Mourinho.

The England international, who is facing a huge battle to make Gareth Southgate's squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia, is said to be unhappy with the treatment from the Portuguese tactician and is ready to cut ties with the 20-time English champions.

A number of teams are believed to be interested in the 22-year-old but Newcastle, who had problems at left-back earlier in the campaign, are rumoured to be leading the race for his signature.

The Magpies, still battling against relegation this season, are long-term admirers of the defender and reportedly failed in a bid to prize Shaw away from United on loan during the January transfer window.

Manager Rafael Benitez is keen to return with an offer this summer although it is unclear whether they will meet the £15-20million valuation.
