Strength in depth pleases Swansea boss

Swansea manager Carlos Carvalhal feels all of his squad deserve praise for their efforts and not just the regular starters.

The Swans were deep in trouble when Carvalhal took charge but, since his arrival they have managed 20 points from 13 games to sit four points clear of the bottom three.

Carvalhal believes his fringe men have played a key role this season and singled out Luciano Narsingh as an example after he impressed in the draw against Everton last time out in his first league start since December.

"I am happy with all the players - with our attackers, our midfielders and our defenders, and with all the players who have not been involved so much," he told the club's official website.

"Luciano has not played for a long time, but we never lost trust in him. This is why he played against Everton and why he did well. He is the best player down the line that we have.

"Maybe it was a surprise to some people that he played, but we trust all the players and we are looking at all of them. That is a good sign.

"Luciano played last week, but Wayne (Routledge) is also training very well and so are Leon (Britton) and Angel (Rangel).

"Connor (Roberts) is doing well and Kyle Bartley is a fantastic professional every day. Nathan (Dyer) is training very well and Tammy Abraham trains with a lot of energy every day. This is important."
