March tips Seagulls for cup upset

Solly March was one of the heroes for Brighton in the FA Cup quarter-finals at the weekend and he feels his side can now go all the way.

The 24-year-old winger was introduced as a late substitute during Sunday's last-eight tie with Millwall at The Den, but within 12 minutes of coming on, he saw Brighton fall two goals behind. However, a late goal from fellow sub Jurgen Locadia gave the Seagulls hope before March himself struck in stoppage time, albeit benefiting from a mistake by Millwall goalkeeper David Martin. March also went on to score in the resulting penalty shootout, as Brighton prevailed 5-4, and the Seagulls' reward for reaching the semi-finals for the first time since 1983 will be a clash with favourites Manchester City at Wembley on April 6. Brighton will be regarded as underdogs heading into that match, but March is confident they can spring a surprise and book their place in the final, particularly after he watched the Citizens struggle past Championship outfit Swansea in their quarter-final. 'Watching the Swansea game, you saw how hard they made it for City and we've got to go there and work hard,' March told the Brighton website. 'We're confident we can get a couple of chances, and if we can take them, then anything can happen. 'There will be a 50-50 crowd, it's a big day out and everyone is going to be up for it. It's something to look forward to at the start of April.'
