PSG lead race for defender but he is in no rush to sign

Matthijs de Ligt says he is no rush to sort out his future as reports claim Paris Saint-Germain are now leading the race for his signature.

The 19-year-old Ajax central defender is in hot demand with PSG, Barcelona and Manchester United battling it out for his signature, but it is still unclear where he will end up.

Speaking after the Netherlands' 3-1 win over England in the Nations League semi-finals on Thursday night, the youngster was coy about what the future holds.

"I will take my time to reflect on what is the best option for my future," he told reporters after the win in Portugal.

Liverpool and Juventus have also been linked, but it would look to be a straight scrap between Barca and PSG for his signature, with the popular belief swinging towards the latter winning the day.
