Google Chrome update shows if password has been hacked

Google Chrome's new security feature will tell you if you've been hacked.

The web browser has added new password security alerts for iOS and Android to make users aware if their data has been compromised.

AbdelKarim Mardini, Senior Product Manager at Google Chrome, wrote in a blog post: “Passwords are often the first line of defense for our digital lives.

“Today, we’re improving password security on both Android and iOS devices by telling you if the passwords you’ve asked Chrome to remember have been compromised, and if so, how to fix them.”

Other security features coming with the Google 86 update, include a biometric authentication step before autofilling passwords for iOS users.
