The music streaming giant went down for more than 40,000 users in the United States over the weekend but now all issues have been fixed, and the company has encouraged users to reach out if they experience any more issues.
In a statement posted to X/Twitter on Sunday (30.09.24), Spotify said: "Everything’s looking much better now! Give@SpotifyCares a shout if you still need help."
Bosses at Spotify are yet to give a reason for the sudden outage, but admitted as soon as the issue became apparent that they were aware of it and were working to fix it.
In a statement, Spotify said: "We’re aware of some issues right now and are checking them."
Reports of the outage in the UK and Canada were also made public, with users flooding social media with complaints.
One wrote: "I wish I knew Spotify was gonna go down so I could use my iPod instead on my way to work!"
Another said: "wait is y’all’s Spotify app not working?? I tried on my tv and phone but it’s giving me some weird error message."
A third lamented: "why is Spotify down I NEED TO DO THE DISHES."
