Amazon's new Luna features party games - and Snoop Dogg

Amazon has unveiled a major relaunch of its Luna cloud gaming platform.

The firm is positioning it as a party-friendly service with a mix of casual titles, blockbusters, and a starring role for Snoop Dogg.

The reimagined Luna introduces GameNight, a hub for social party games designed for the living room.

Players will not need consoles or controllers - instead, they can use their smartphones to join instantly by scanning a QR code.

Amazon says the goal is to make gaming more inclusive and accessible to families who may not own traditional hardware.

Headlining GameNight is Courtroom Chaos: Starring Snoop Dogg, an AI-powered improv game where players spin outrageous stories in front of Judge Snoop.

The launch line-up will also include over 25 multiplayer-ready titles, from classics like Angry Birds and Exploding Kittens to digital versions of board games such as Taboo, Ticket to Ride, and Clue.

Beyond party play, Prime members will gain access to a rotating library of more than 50 bigger games at no extra cost.

Confirmed titles include Hogwarts Legacy, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, and TopSpin 2K25.

Players can use Bluetooth controllers they already own, or Amazon’s own Luna controller.

A premium subscription tier will add more AAA options such as EA Sports FC 25 and Batman: Arkham Knight.

Jeff Gattis, GM of Amazon Luna, said: “Later this year, we will be launching a completely redesigned and reimagined Amazon Luna that combines innovative social party games with amazing blockbusters to make every night in your house the perfect game night to share with your family and friends.”
