The fast food chain has announced its new 'Apply Thru' initiative to let owners of the smart devices kick start their own applications using standard voice commands.
In a press release, the company explained: "After beginning the experience via Alexa or the Google Assistant, all they'll need to do is answer a few basic questions out loud.
"They'll receive a text, following their responses to these questions, with a link to complete the application process online. Simple as that."
McDonald's sees the new feature - which leads to a more formal process - as a way to provide young people with more ways to get into entry-level careers at its restaurants.
The initiative is now available in the UK, US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy and Spain, with other countries set to follow over the net few months.
Executive vice president and global chief people officer David Fairhurst added: "I'm focused on ensuring that we're also harnessing technology to enhance the employment experience of the 1.9 million people around the world who work in our company-owned and franchised restaurants."
