The theme park and resort complex, located in Staffordshire, England, beat other popular spots such as Thorpe Park, Legoland and Paultons Park for a third year running.
Research carried out by holiday rentals site Big Domain, determined the rankings based on parking fees, entry costs and number of rides as well as TripAdvisor ratings and Insta-worthy credentials.
The mean spend per theme park was based on an average family of four, with two adults and two children, visiting the park during the peak of the summer holidays.
Big Domain found Alton Towers to be the best value for money, scoring a total 4/5, closely followed by Legoland in Windsor with Flamingo Land, North Yorkshire coming in at third place.
With over 40 rides to choose from, it’s no surprise Alton Towers continues to attract over two million thrill seekers and roller coaster fanatics to the park a year.
The resort aims to provide a truly unique and memorable experience for all members of the family for just £116 for a family of four when booked in advance.
Toddlers and those with motion sickness who can’t stomach the idea of a roller coaster can explore CBeebies Land instead.
