The English capital - which has a population of almost nine million and welcomes almost 12 million visitors annually - has been named the most scenic city in the world when it comes to nature, according to research by Travelbag, which found that the #SpringinLondon had been used 100,832 times on Instagram by tourists and natives alike.
The major city is home to several scenic parks, such as St James's Park - which is close to Buckingham Palace, Clarence House and Whitehall - as well as Hyde Park,· The Regent's Park and Kensington Gardens but also boasts landmarks such as St Paul's Cathedral and Big Ben, which is located at the north end of the Palace of Westminster.
Other cities to make the list of the most scenic cities in the world include the French capital of Paris - which garnered almost 80,000 hashtags of #SpringIn... - as well as Australian city of Sydne and US states such as Chicago and Boston also making the cut.
