LOT Polish Airlines adds new routes to Italy and Spain

LOT Polish Airlines has launched four new European routes.

The airline will now connect Krakow with Rome, Barcelona, and Madrid, and Warsaw with Bologna, expanding its year-round network and strengthening its presence in Southern Europe. Krakow–Rome flights will operate up to five times weekly in summer and four times weekly in winter, while Krakow–Barcelona runs four times weekly, and Krakow–Madrid six times weekly throughout the year.

Warsaw–Bologna services will operate six times weekly, marking LOT’s debut at Guglielmo Marconi Airport.

Robert Ludera, chief commercial officer at LOT Polish Airlines, said: “The launch of flights to Rome, Barcelona, and Madrid marks LOT’s expansion of its existing connecting flight services to these destinations and represents a further step in strengthening our presence in the region.”

The introduction of these routes provides travelers with direct links from Poland to major Southern European destinations, catering to both leisure and business passengers. By offering multiple flights per week, LOT ensures flexibility and convenience for tourists visiting iconic cities like Rome, Madrid, and Barcelona, as well as business travelers seeking reliable connections to economic hubs.

For Warsaw, the new service to Bologna opens opportunities to explore Italy’s Emilia-Romagna region and strengthens trade and cultural ties. As LOT continues to expand its European footprint, passengers benefit from the airline’s integrated global network, including convenient connections to North America and Asia.

The move reflects a broader trend among European carriers to increase connectivity after the pandemic, responding to growing demand for both short-haul and intercontinental travel. With these additions, LOT emphasizes competitive scheduling, accessible fares, and enhanced passenger experience, positioning itself as a leading carrier in Central and Southern Europe.

Passengers can book the new services through LOT’s website, mobile app, or travel agents, with schedules designed to accommodate seasonal travel patterns and maximize efficiency across the airline’s growing network.
