Jet2.com wins Routes Europe Award for third consecutive year

Jet2.com has been named Airline Winner at the Routes Europe 2026 Awards for the third year running, in recognition of its rapid network growth, strong partnerships, and continued investment in customer experience across the UK and Europe.

The award reflects the airline’s ambitious expansion strategy, which has seen Jet2.com strengthen its position as the UK’s third-largest airline while increasing accessibility through new bases, destinations, and regional connectivity. Since 2024, the airline has launched more than 225 new routes, introduced 13 new destinations, and opened four operating bases, including Liverpool, Bournemouth, London Luton, and London Gatwick. These expansions mean over 90% of the UK population can access Jet2.com services within a 90-minute drive.

Jet2.com’s 2026 programme includes more than 75 destinations, with recent additions such as Palermo, La Palma, and Samos broadening leisure travel options. From February 2027, the airline will operate year-round services to Hurghada and Sharm El-Sheikh, making the Egyptian resorts accessible from six UK airports. Summer 2027 will also see flights to Tunisia from five airports, and new connections to Kavala International Airport from Birmingham, Manchester, and London Stansted. The winter programme includes Strasbourg services from Edinburgh, Manchester, and London Stansted.

Ricard Querol, general manager – airports and tourism organisations, said: "We’re excited about what we can continue to achieve together. We have ambitious plans for growth, which we know none of it is possible without the strong foundations we’ve built with our partners."

Tom Screen, director of airport relationships, added: "The work our partners do behind the scenes, from operational coordination to commercial planning and destination promotion, makes a real difference."

Sustainability remains a key focus for Jet2.com. The airline has committed to achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2050 and continues to invest in a more efficient fleet, reducing fuel and carbon usage by up to 20% and cutting noise levels by 50%.

David Neill, corporate affairs and sustainability director, said: "We’re incredibly proud to receive this award for the third year in a row. Every year brings new challenges and opportunities, and your continued support plays a huge role in helping us deliver the fantastic service that our customers have come to expect and enjoy."

With strong demand for leisure travel and ambitious expansion plans, Jet2.com is positioned to continue shaping the future of European leisure aviation while delivering growth for its partners across the network.
