Dining with a view in Paris

There's no doubt that Paris is one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

From the Eiffel Tower to the Arc De Triomphe, there is so much to see in the French capital that it almost seems a waste of your time to stop and eat rather than explore the city. So we've put together a list of some of the best restaurants with a view in the Parisian city.

If you're looking for something different, top of your list must be the Bateau le Calife, where you can enjoy your dinner on a boat as you travel down the iconic River Seine. The boat winds through the city, passing by Notre Dame, the Louvre and of course, the Eiffel Tower.

The whole experience costs anything from 67€ to 108€, which includes a three course meal and a glass of champagne to welcome you ahead of the two hour cruise. The menu regularly changes but examples of dishes included salmon tartare, rump steak with Sichuan pepper sauce, roast guinea fowl with herbed potatoes and crème brûlée.

If you prefer to stay on land, try the L'Oiseau Blanc Rooftop Restaurant. Located on the sixth floor of the five-star Peninsula Paris hotel, near Kléber metro station, this aviation themed restaurant promises beautiful food with equally beautiful views.

From your table, you can see the Eiffel Tower glitter as day turns to night whilst you sample the best of French cuisine including duck foie gras, French veal shank braised with cherries and L'Envol, a chocolate custard and coconut biscuit.

Prices for dinner service start at just over 100€.

And last but not least on the list is Michelin-starred restaurant Tour d'Argent, located near the Notre Dame.

The speciality here is the duck, so much so that the restaurant offer a special tasting menu where you can try the duck cooked in various different ways. The view of the iconic cathedral whilst you sip on one of the fine wines offered makes the experience even more enjoyable.
