Ebates - a leader and pioneer in cashback shopping and subsidiary of the global internet services company Rakuten - has revealed that for nearly three quarters (73 percent) of people, the price is the most important part when choosing when and where to go on vacation. And understandably, for people, 52 percent say location is their top travel criteria. The timing of it is important too (35 percent) and also the distance of the location from their home scored highly at 30 percent.
The study also found that three quarters of Americans are looking for ways to save money on vacation, with 49 percent of people booking in advance to get the best deals. Booking directly through the site (20 percent), using airline loyalty points (19 percent), doubling up on points and using cash back (16 percent) also rate highly and 14 percent also use a cashback website.
