Americans looking for deeper meaning when they travel

Americans are looking for deeper meaning when they travel.

A study by Capital One has revealed that 83 per cent of travellers look for a sense of discovery when they go abroad whilst 70 per cent are on the hunt for a purposeful experience.

And 87 per cent feel it is important to be "fulfilled" when you return from their holiday and over four fifths of people (82 per cent) want more meaningful trips.

Lauren Liss, VP of US Card at Capital One, said: "At Capital One, we are always listening to our customers and looking for ways to better understand their needs when designing our products, such as our Capital One Venture Card. This research further reinforces our belief that straightforward travel rewards give people the flexibility to travel their way, allowing them to make connections and create memories that give our travels a true sense of purpose. We hope the conversation will inspire you to create meaningful moments on your next trip by spending even more time experiencing local cultures and making authentic connections with those you encounter along the way."
