The former UFC fighter was slammed by UFC rival Julia Avila for tearing down women over the comments she made on her YouTube video.
When asked by a fan on her YouTube video whether she would consider setting up an OnlyFans account, Tate, 35, replied: “No. Where in this video did I say I was desperate?”
The controversial comments didn’t go down well with her rival fighter who was quick to hit back at her for current and former fighters like Paige VanZant, Rachael Ostovich, Jessica Andrade and Bec Rawlings all use the X-rated entertainment service to make money off subscribers.
Julia, 33 – who was ranked sixth place below Tate in the bantamweight - took to social media not long after and wrote in response: “This is aggravating. Yes women have an OnlyFans and what of it? Maybe they want attention. Maybe they want an extra dollar.
“Maybe they just want to celebrate their womanhood and how f***ing gorgeous they are! It's not our place to judge or to tear down another woman for it
“fix your crown queen before casting stones on another.
“oney, none of us are without fault and it's a hard f***ing world without having to tear one another down.
“Rather than criticising how about, 'it's not for me', plain and simple.
“I really hope that this was taken out of context because I've always respected her as a role model for other people, so I'll give the benefit of a doubt.”
Tate who left the UFC back in 2016 following her defeat to Raquel Pennington at UFC 205 – said that her decision to quit left her struggling mentally and emotionally as she felt depressed and is now ready for a second surge in her career as she’s gearing up for a comeback.
