Derek Chisora has no plans to retire from boxing

Derek Chisora has no intention of retiring from boxing.

The veteran heavyweight turned 40 at the end of last year but has an insatiable desire for "violence" as he looks for a new opponent.

Chisora told IFL TV: "I still got it badly. I still want the smoke, I want violence, that's what I want.

"We live in a world of violence, if you don't prepare yourself for violence then forget about it. People want violence and I want violence."

The Brit hasn't fought since beating Gerald Washington last August but revealed that he has been approached by promoter Frank Warren regarding a fight with compatriot Joe Joyce.

He said: "Frank Warren has reached out to me for Joe Joyce.

"It interests me but I don’t want it when they want it. They want it at the end of the year."

Chisora also mentioned Jarrell 'Big Baby' Miller as a potential opponent.

He explained: "I’ve also got Baby Miller. People offer fights, but do they really wanna fight? They make phone calls and sound you out then don’t phone again."

Meanwhile, Chisora also revealed that Anthony Joshua is likely to clash with the winner of June's fight between Daniel Dubois and Filip Hrgovic rather than take on either Tyson Fury or Oleksandr Usyk.

The boxer said: "He (Joshua) will fight the winner of Daniel Dubois and (Filip) Hrgovic at Wembley."
