Tommy Fury rages at Jake Paul's 'disgraceful' fight with Mike Tyson

Tommy Fury has hit out at the "disgraceful" fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson.

The British fighter has added his voice to the criticism of the bout between the former heavyweight world champion and YouTube star – who he beat last year after a bitter feud leading into the fight.

Fury told Jamal Niaz: "I don't want to give a prediction on that. It is a 60-year-old man getting in the ring with a 27-year-old man.

"It is disgraceful. At the end of the day if you are a good man, you don't want to fight a legend like that now.

"What he was is not what he is now. These 10 second clips on the internet or a minute look great, but anyone can do that.

"The fight isn't a minute, at 60 you are going to feel it."

The former 'Love Island' star argues that Paul's decision to fight Iron Mike shows his lack of "respect" for the Sweet Science.

Fury said: "And I know one thing, he couldn't beat me so he is jumping in the ring with a 60-year-old. But Jake Paul hasn't done himself any favours.

"Would I get in the ring with Mike Tyson if I was offered it tomorrow? No. You have to have some respect about you I think."

Meanwhile, the boxing legend recently admitted that he was "scared to death" of taking on Paul but would not be stepping into the ring if he felt otherwise.

He told Fox News: "I have a weird personality - I don't think it's weird though. Whatever I'm afraid to do, I do it. That's how it is. I was afraid of the Roy Jones Jr. fight (in 2020).

"I was 100 pounds overweight, I was however old, 54, 53, and I said ‘Let’s do it.' Anything I'm afraid of, I confront it. That's my personality. Right now, I'm scared to death."
