Chris Eubank Jr is ready for Conor Benn rematch if the fans want it

Chris Eubank Jr is willing to fight Conor Benn again if the public are interested.

The British boxer triumphed in a thrilling bout against Benn at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last month and is happy to "oblige" if fight fans want more between the pair.

Eubank Jr told talkSPORT: "It's up to the public.

"I guess what we do as prizefighters is we fight for the people.

"If the people want to see something we provide, that is the job of a fighter.

"From what I am hearing, people want a rematch.

"If that is the case, then I will do everything in my power to oblige."

The fight between Eubank Jr and Benn brought back memories of the two epic bouts between their fathers Chris Eubank and Nigel Benn during the 1990s and the middleweight fighter has reflected on the "surreal" moment that his dad walked out alongside him despite disapproving of the contest.

He told The Sun: "Family is everything, you know? And the fact that even the last minute we all came together, it meant the world to me.

"Because I thought I was gonna be alone. I walked into that weigh-in alone in preparation for the fight.

"I saw Conor with all his team and his dad, and I knew in my heart, in my mind, I knew that that wasn't gonna be what I was gonna have on the night.

"So listen, I'm gonna be alone on the night, I'm gonna be alone now, it's okay. Get used to it, kid. That was what was going on in my head.

"And for that to kind of switch at the last minute it was surreal, it was incredible."

Eubank Jr added: "And yeah, it's nice to do what you said you was gonna do. And to do something which the fans will remember for a long, long time.

"That's what it's all about. The fans are the ones that put us in these positions. So to be able to deliver to them, that's all the fighter can really dream for. And we did that."
