Nick Kyrgios tips Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz to dominate tennis for next decade

Nick Kyrgios has backed Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz to dominate men's tennis for the next decade.

The world's top two players have won the last six Grand Slam titles between them and the Australian thinks they are primed to lead the sport into the future following the retirements of Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal - as showcased by the epic French Open final last month.

Kyrgios told TNT Sports: "I think Alcaraz and Sinner will be carrying this sport for the next 10-15 years.

"These guys are incredible talents. They're generational talents and athletes. The sport of tennis is in for a ride with these two competing for Grand Slams.

"We saw that at the French Open, it was one of the highest-quality finals that the sport has ever seen, so we all just need to enjoy the ride.

"They are the changing of the guard. Federer and Nadal have gone already and I think the sport has felt that."

Novak Djokovic is the last member of the Big Three still playing tennis but Kyrgios fears that the veteran Serb's days on court are numbered.

The former Wimbledon finalist said: "Djokovic, I do believe, and I hate to say, is on his last legs.

"He's still an amazing player and he can still compete, but I'm just not sure for how long."

Djokovic suggested last week that he will only sit back and reflect on his achievements once his tennis career comes to a close.

The former world number one said: "I don't pause to reflect. I don't have time. Being on the highest level of professional tennis requires a lot of dedication.

"I don't play as much as I did before but the weeks I don't play, I play at home with my kids. I don't reflect fully on everything I have been through.

"I would like to but I think that will come when I set the racquet aside and then sip margaritas on the beach with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal and just reflect on our rivalry and everything."
