Tottenham Hotspur reach £55 million deal for West Ham star Mohammed Kudus

Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a deal with West Ham United over Mohammed Kudus.

The Premier League club are said to have reached an agreement with the Hammers to sign the midfielder for £55 million, which is below his £85 million release clause.

As reported by BBC Sport, Kudus will have a medical with Spurs before signing a long-term contract.

It's believed at least six top clubs were interested in the 24-year-old star, but he prioritised a move to West Ham's London rivals.

He joined the club from Ajax in 2023 for £38 million, and has gone onto make 65 Premier League appearances.

In that time, he's scored 13 goals with nine assists.

Spurs are also said to be looking into a move for Yoane Wissa, from new manager Thomas Frank's former club Brentford.

BBC Sport reports that Wissa - who scored 20 goals last season - is open to the move and a reunion with his former manager.

His current deal is set to expire next summer, but Brentford - who are understood to be reluctant to lose him before the new campaign - have an option to extend it by another year.

As well as losing manager Frank to Spurs, the club's captain Christian Norgaard has signed gone to Arsenal, and goalkeeper Mark Flekken moved to Bayer Leverkusen.

Meanwhile, talks are still ongoing with Manchester United, who are keen to add Bryan Mbeumo to their attacking ranks, despite two offers being rejected thus far.
