Pac Man, 46, is currently in negotiations to set up a rematch with Floyd Mayweather, 48, more than a decade after the pair first clashed, but King, 38, has now thrown his hat in the ring - saying a fight with Pacquiao could be “the only one” to get him out of retirement.
On X, Khan wrote: “LETS GO @MannyPacquiao, I’m up for one final dance but only with you as my partner.
“You’re still talking rematch with Floyd? Let’s make OUR fight that never happened. This is the ONLY one that gets me out of retirement - it’s what the fans always wanted.”
Khan retired from boxing in May 2022 after he was defeated by rival Kell Brook, 39.
Pacquiao had recently revealed he was in talks to fight Mayweather again after the pair’s first bout in May 2015, which Pac Man lost by unanimous decision.
Speaking at a press conference, Pacquiao said: “Right now we have a lot of negotiations about my next fight; there's a possible rematch with Floyd Mayweather.
“There's a lot of ongoing negotiations right now, so it's hard to plan what fight I'm going to post. I'm waiting for the final negotiation.”
The former welterweight champion added he would “love” to face Mayweather again.
He continued: “I'd love to have another fight, a rematch with Floyd Mayweather. So I hope that in the negotiations, we can understand each other and we can negotiate well.”
Pacquiao and Mayweather had previously retired from the sport, though both have found their way back to the ring - with Pretty Boy competing in exhibition fights, and Pac Man returning to professoinal boxing in July to face Mario Barrios, 30.
Pacquiao previously said he was “finalizing” a fight with Rolando Romero, 29, and his advisor Sean Gibbons added a bout with Rolly was more enticing than a rematch with Barrios.
He told BoxingScene: “I don’t see why Barrios again. There’s Rolly Romero, [Gervonta] ‘Tank’ Davis. Why do it again? Mario Barrios doesn’t draw anything and brings nothing to the table but that belt.
“Rolly Romero would be an unbelievably fun fight and one hell of a promotion.”
