'The Nuke' secured his second PDC World Championship last week and is now targeting overhauling arrows icon Taylor's 3,343 days at the summit of the rankings.
Littler – who first became world number one last November – told Sky Sports News: "It's crazy what I've done. I'm in the clear for world No 1. Phil Taylor had, I don't even know, three or four thousand days at world No 1.
"That's another bit of history I want to create, beat Phil at the No 1 and stay there for as long as possible and get all these other darts players chasing me."
The 18-year-old star needs to win the World Masters and the European Championship to complete a full set of major triumphs and is looking to dominate on the oche for years to come.
Littler said: "I want to dominate everything. Obviously, I want to try and win everything. But, the Masters, the Europeans, they're the two ones that I really want to go for this year. I'm going to come hunting them down.
"I want to be remembered for the titles that I win, the nine-darters I hit and I want to put down a legacy here (at the World Championship). I want to win so many trophies. There's so many years left."
However, the two-time world champion insists that he won't be changing either on or away from the oche.
Littler said: "I'm just me. As you see me outside darts, inside the darts, I'll never change.
"I won't change for anyone. This is how I am. Even my mum and dad from the first Worlds were saying to me, 'Just don't change anything, just be yourself', and that's how it's going to be."
