Kurtley Beale urges fans to stand by Wallabies

Kurtley Beale has urged Australia's fans to be patient and stand by the team despite their poor display against New Zealand.

The Wallabies were left scratching their heads again as the All Blacks stormed to a 54-34 victory in the Rugby Championship on Saturday.

A poor Super Rugby season for Australia's teams had put extra pressure on Michael Cheika's men, and they could not handle it as they crumbled in the end.

Australia were 40-6 down at half-time, although Beale and co dug deep to reduce the deficit in the second period, with the playmaker scoring a try.

Beale is determined to put the game behind him and he has asked the fans to show their support as they try to end their poor recent run.

He told reporters: "We kind of let ourselves down in that first half. We are working hard, we do care and we love playing rugby for Australia.

"As a group, we're going to keep playing rugby and try and deliver the brand of rugby that everyone wants to see.

"We're just going to keep focusing on that and hopefully everybody can just stick by us."
