Mauricio Pochettino has been chasing the 17-year-old for some time, but the player disappointed Spurs and a host of other clubs by signing a professional deal with the Cottagers earlier in the year.
Sessegnon was keen to continue his development with Fulham, while the contract also meant the Cottagers would not lose him to a Premier League club on the cheap.
Now there is talk that Sessegnon, who has been compared to former Spurs star Gareth Bale on more than one occasion, could cost as much as £50million.
Whether Tottenham would be willing to go that high remains to be seen, but Fulham are under no pressure to cash in as Sessegnon's deal still have three years to run.
There is also strong interest from Manchester United and Fulham will be hoping a bidding war could result in them reaching their valuation.
