The former Manchester United playmaker has impressed this season under manager Marco Silva and managed to back the injury-time winner in a 2-1 victory over Arsenal last time out.
With some suggesting an England recall could be on the way, Cleverley is adamant he is just focused on playing well at Vicarage Road.
He was quoted by the Watford Observer, saying: "I am focusing on playing well for Watford at the moment. You guys (the media) are always going to link every English player who is playing well with the national team.
"It is not a thought in my head at the moment and it is obviously the pinnacle of every professional player's career.
"I would always be happy to play for my country, but I think it is pretty far off at the moment."
