Mauricio Pellegrino's side find themselves in 10th place in the Premier League after a hard-fought 1-0 victory against West Brom last time out.
Tadic had been calling for a more aggressive style of play before the encounter with the Baggies and Saints stepped up in that regard to keep a clean sheet.
With an encounter against fellow south coast outfit Brighton to come at the weekend, Tadic believes his side should take credit for the changes they have made.
"I think we should be positive about our performances," he told the Daily Echo. "I think what is different now is our aggression. From the first moment, we want to score goals.
"Yes, we tried to do that and to play a quick game. We attack and get a corner and take it quick, and the same with a throw-in. We tried to be much quicker and score goals. The tempo was there."
