Davy Propper fitness boost for Seagulls

Brighton have been boosted by the news Davy Propper has recovered from an ankle injury and will play for Holland on Tuesday.

The 26-year-old midfielder picked up the problem during a training session with the Dutch on Wednesday evening and subsequently missed the 1-0 international friendly against Scotland in Aberdeen the following night.

However, Propper, who joined the Seagulls for a club-record fee from PSV Eindhoven in the summer, stayed put with the national team over the weekend while his ankle was continually assessed.

And, having maintained regular dialogue with the Seagulls, it has been decided that Propper will play some part in the friendly against Romania before making his return to the Amex Stadium.

Providing there are no setbacks he should be fit for selection when Brighton host Stoke in the Premier League next Monday night.
