New boy Georges-Kevin Nkoudou expects top ten for Clarets

Burnley's new loan star Georges-Kevin Nkoudou says he cannot see the Clarets losing their grip on a top half of the table finish.

The 22-year-old has moved to Turf Moor on loan from Spurs until the end of the season after joining Tottenham for £11million from Marseille back in 2016.

Nkoudou made his debut in the defeat at Crystal Palace last weekend but he thinks he's seen enough of Burnley from afar to know they will finish in the top half of the table.

"Burnley play good football," he told the Burnley Express.

"They're seventh in the division, just after the big six, so they're doing well in a good league.

"They've started good and I've watched them against big clubs with wins against Chelsea and they were unlucky against Liverpool at home.

"They're a very good team. I'm just finding out how the team works so I can go forward and help them win games.

"Of course they can [finish in the top half] if they stay focused. Everyone is working in the same way which is key and will help them stay in the top half of the table. They need to keep going, win games, and then they can do it."
