Ben Mee in awe of Sean Dyche's Burnley progress

Ben Mee believes Burnley can only continue to progress under boss Sean Dyche, who he says has taken the club to a 'new level'.

Dyche has been widely credited with establishing the Clarets in the Premier League and has earned plaudits from across football for the way he has guided the underdogs up into the top half of the table this season.

Dyche signed a new four-and-a-half-year deal only last month and Mee says it is great news that the former Watford chief extended his stay at Turf Moor as the club can continue to grow and move in the right direction with him at the helm.

"It's brilliant for everyone, the amount of change that has been since he's arrived (is huge)," Mee said in the Lancashire Telegraph.

"We've taken to the club to a new level since he's been here and it's fantastic to see the growth in the club. We've come a long way, I've grown as player myself and we've had some exciting and enjoyable times."

Due to the fine job he is doing on a tight budget at an unfashionable club, plenty of Burnley's Premier League rivals have cast admiring glances Dyche's way and he's been linked with plenty of jobs in the past 12 months.

Mee expects that to continue but he hopes Dyche remains totally committed to the project he's started at Turf Moor.

"He's doing well so there's going to be interest, that's natural, but the club has done well to sign him up for a long period of time and long may that continue," he added.
