Keeper Wayne Hennessey injury blow for Eagles

Crystal Palace have suffered a potentially devastating blow on the injury front, as Wayne Hennessey could face a spell on the sidelines.

According to reports, the Welsh keeper picked up what could be an Achilles tendon injury in training on Tuesday and had to hobble out of the practice with fears it could be a bad one, meaning he is already a doubt for the clash with Tottenham this weekend.

The Eagles have massive injury problems already but especially in goal where Julian Speroni is out with knee ligament problems and the only fit keeper they have is 20-year-old Dion Henry.

There is the possibility of an emergency loan deal for a keeper with Diego Cavalieri apparently close to a deal, although it is unclear whether that option would be available to the Eagles, but youngster Henry looks to be in line for his full debut against Spurs on Sunday.
