England went down 25-13 at Murrayfield in their last Six Nations fixture and Itoje insists his side are ready to respond to that disappointing loss.
The Saracens lock, who started at Murrayfield, expects a stern test from Les Bleus but he is convinced the Red Rose can get their campaign back on track with a win.
"The reality of the situation is that often when we win we hardly do everything right, and when we lose like we did last weekend we did a lot wrong, but it wasn't all doom and gloom; there were some positives to take from the game," he told England Rugby.
"Some big learnings that if we take on board, we will be a much better team."
He added: "France, like French clubs, are very physical, have a strong set piece and a bit of magic in their back line so I expect all of that.
"They have talented individuals and big men who like to carry hard and who are very confrontational."
